Our treasured memories keep you near. Peacefully in the care of Leighton Hospital, Ellen passed away on the 16th April, aged 72 years. The beloved wife of Peter, Ellen was also a cherished sister and friend who will be so sadly missed and fondly remembered by all. Ellen’s funeral will take place in St Matthews Church, Haslington on Tuesday 29th April at 12.30pm followed by a burial in the churchyard. Haslington WI mourns staunch supporter


Ellen was a staunch supporter of Haslington WI and loved to come to meetings . She had been a WI member in Shropshire and loved to read the Cheshire news. When she became unable to attend I visited her at home and at Station House. She loved to keep abreast with what was going on. Ellen was easy company and we had lots of laughs. An hour spent in her company was a real pleasure not a chore. She was a lovely lady and I shall miss her.
