The obituary notice of Esme Sylvia RIDLEY

Esme was a much loved friend. We have been so lucky to have known her for the last seven years. She has been like a Grandma to our sons, spending time with them in such a caring and thoughtful way. We’ve enjoyed many special times chatting, laughing and playing in her home and stunning garden. We miss both Esme and Mark so much, but will treasure many precious memories of the times we spent together.

Esme and I have never physically met, I didnt even know what she looked like until I saw her photo here. None of that mattered. We become aquainted when Mark passed away. Despite being strangers we shared memories of him and cried together. From then on, she became a friend and we would regularly write and she would send photos of her garden. I told her that one day I would take a trip to Newcastle and visit her, she agreed it would be lovely. It never happened and she left this earth to be with her son and husband. I do believe I will meet her finally when I too leave this earth. Even if short,if if from afar, I experienced her warmth, caring and kindness. For that I am grateful. All my love, Susan

Esme was a very dear friend over many years and we had lovely times sharing our problems and delights . She was such a kind generous and loving person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her dear family in their loss Jenny Eastwood
