John WilliamREDFERNPassed away suddenly at home, on 20th June 2025, aged 78 years.

Much loved dad to Simon and Sarah. A very proud grandad and great-grandad. John will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Monday 14th July, service 12 noon at Bretby Crematorium, in the Cedar Room.

Family Flowers only please, donations in memory of John will benefit RSPB, and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, and may be placed in the donation box at the service.

It's been 17 weeks now and to be honest not the best me and Shell are away at the min and yes she has a fork in her hand so she's happy I still miss you and I suppose I always will but it should get easier but I'm still having fun when I can me and the wife which I'm sure you would approve missing you and love you x

It's been a few days since we all said our goodbyes and I think we did you proud, if only you could of been there I'm sure you would of agreed it was a tremendous tribute to you.
People cried as did I, people laughed a bit to much but that was good and so did I, but to be fair I think we did you proud.
Thanks Dad for just being my Dad and I love you with all my heart I will never forget you.

Hi Dad
Came today to see you and say my goodbyes. It was hard but I'm so glad I did. You looked so peaceful we will give you a proper tribute to you on Monday I promise and I will never ever forget you and you will always be in my heart.
