MargaretRAEIt is with huge sadness that we announce that our Mum, Margaret, passed away on the evening of Thursday 18th April 2024. Mum had been living with Crohn's disease and it's associated issues for a number of years and unfortunately, despite putting up a typically incredible fight, this last infection was too much for her at 83 years of age.
She spent a number of weeks in the RAH hospital being looked after by the amazing staff in Ward 24 and the HDU. This time gave us all the chance to say our goodbyes before she passed away peacefully with one of her sons by her side.
Mum's funeral service will take place at The Hurlet Crematorium on Wednesday 8th May at 10am, after which we will make the short trip to Hawkhead Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside our Dad.
The family would be honoured if you could join us after today's service to pay respects to our Mum, and then raise a glass to both her and our Dad.
