Alison LesleyQUIGLEYAged 63. Died at home on the morning of Sunday 28 August. A proud Coventrian, she was a city councillor for the Sherbourne Ward from 1987-1995, and a dedicated local government official until her last days. But much more than that, Alison was a loving wife to her husband, James, for 33 years, and a most compassionate and caring mother to her sons James and Thomas. Alison had an enthusiasm for life. She had a real love for music, for art, for literature, for theatre, for travel, for gardening and for cooking. The world will be a less bright and a less beautiful place without her. Alison, mum, you will be dearly missed. In your most loving memory, James, James and Thomas. Her funeral will be held at Canley Crematorium Cannon Hill Chapel on Monday 26 September at 12pm. Her wake will be at the Royal Oak, Earlsdon, from 2pm. My lovely daughter Alison died on the 28th August 2022. Daughter of Joan Edgington. Sister of Mark, Yvonne (deceased) and Laura. Alison was a kind, thoughtful woman, and a people person. She was my rock and a constant support to me. She will be a great loss to her family and friends, who will miss her so much. "We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep" Family flowers only. Donations may be made in memory of Alison to Cancer Research. So very sad to find out of the passing of Alison. I first knew her as a Councillor with the City Council, but worked with her more closely a few years ago as a LG Officer. A lovely lady who believed in social justice with absolute passion. RIP Alison - Gill Griffiths
