A legend and forever in our hearts. Funeral service and burial at St Mary's Church, Standon. Any donations direct to Cancer Research UK would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, really sad to read about Sploge who I grew up with in my teens. My name is Pete Smith from Aston Rd. His nickname was probably given to him by his teen mates, first time I have actually tried to spell it. I now live in Bengeo but often met him on walks over the Lordship and always on May Day, the last one 2 years ago. Lots of great memories from our youth, and very sad I could not attend his funeral.
