I have just seen the bench placed in Michaels memory. A lovely thought to a man who gave his spare time to causes such as the Stacksteads Countryside Park Group.I have fond memories of Mike's enthusiasm and positivity.

We were fortunate enough to meet Mike and Gill due to Mikes working career which brought him to stoke-on Trent. We have spent some great nights out watching his band and some great holidays together. Nobody can describe Mike in a few words. The saying they broke the mould when they made him does not apply to Mike he was made from a broken mould which will never be reproduced. He lived a great life surrounded by a wonderful family and great friends. It has been a pleasure to call the Platt family friends.

Mike Platt you are one of the most amazing, inspirational people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am so, so sorry and heartbroken to hear of your passing, I know you will leave holes in hearts that can never be filled, but you have also left love in hearts that will never be lost, ever. A true hero, a man that everyone who came in contact with can hand on heart say is amazing. God bless your family Mike and rest your wonderful soul. Lots of Love xxx
