Margaret was a lovely neighbour, and very welcoming when we moved here. She offered to lend us a ladder on our first day here, and I remember thinking that I had never been neighbours with someone so friendly. I will miss our conversations about gardens and vegetable planting.

I had the chance to meet Margaret on a few occasions, but was deeply touched by her gentle nature and warm presence. My heartfelt condolences to Ben, Anshu, Harry, and Prisha. In our Hindu and Christian traditions we believe that the soul does not end with the body and that a loving God receives us into eternal care; may Margaret’s soul rest in God’s peace, and may her love continue to guide and bless her family always.
