HazelPEAKEIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Hazel N Peake on Monday 16th March 2026.
Hazel was a cherished mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and great grandmother.
Hazel joined the WAAFs in 1941 aged 18, and trained as a driver. Her wartime service took her to airfields across the country, driving a variety of vehicles, including lorries loaded with bombs, ambulances, staff cars, and trucks carrying barrage balloons. Later she used her driving skills to train as a driving instructor and to run her own driving school in Worthing.
A funeral service will be held on 15th April 2026 at 11.30 at Worthing Crematorium.
All who knew Hazel are welcome to attend.
