Mum, even after all these years, there isn’t a single Mother’s Day that doesn’t bring you straight back to me. Losing you in 2007 changed our whole world, and I still feel the space you left every day. I wish you could see us now, Dad, my big sister, and me, still holding on to each other the way you taught us to.
We’ve had more heartbreak since you’ve been gone, losing Suz in 2024, and there are moments when it feels like too much for one family. But I carry you both with me. I hope you’re together, watching over us, proud of the strength we’ve had to find.
Being the youngest, I still miss your guidance, your voice, and the way you always knew how to make things feel safe. I hope you know how much I love you, how much I still need you, and how grateful I am for every bit of love you gave me while you were here.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mum. I’ll keep making you proud.
Love always, Leigh xxx
