RogerOXLEYRoger passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, April 28, aged 83. He served his National Service in the Royal Navy, something he was always very proud of. He started work in accountancy in Sheffield, and after moving over the border to Lancashire, became a salesman selling tools, retiring from K Supplies in 2003. Upon retiring he spent his time painting, model building and watching cricket. He enjoyed all sports, but cricket was his passion, and he would often play in his younger days. Roger leaves behind his beloved wife Pat, of almost 60 years of happy times spent together, along with his daughters Andrea and Jill who will all miss him dearly. The funeral service and committal will take place on Friday, May 7, at 2.20pm at Accrington Crematorium. Due to current restrictions attendees are limited. Family flowers only, with donations, if desired, in memory of Roger to Cancer Research UK. Funeral director: Caroline HoldenDewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
