A much loved sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to many.
Irene was most widely known and respected for running the family business, Edwards Fish Shop in Holyhead for nearly 60 years. To generations of Holyhead residents, she was a familiar and welcoming face, providing much more than just a service-she was a cornerstone of daily life and a friend to all who walked through the door. Her remarkable work ethic and devotion to the shop defined an era in the town's history.
Special thanks to the district nursing team and Irene's wonderful carers. Their compassion, friendship and professional support were a great comfort to Irene during her final years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Funeral Wednesday, 18 February 2026. Public service at Maeshyfryd Chapel at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Maeshyfryd Cemetery.
