I first met Rich (and Roger and Nigel) almost 50 years ago. We soon became good friends and spent a lot of time together watching bands,on road trips, playing pool, snooker, squash and badminton, and following Neath RFC. We lost contact in later years but still managed to have an occasional xmas catchup. It was great to recall the good old days and when we met up it was like we were back in the 80s. I have so many memories with our gang of 4 and feel grateful to have known Rich. He was a good friend, always there if Sue or I needed anything.

Rich was a really good friend from the first day he walked into the Eaglesbush (Metal Box) office. From the start, you knew that as a friend you could always count on his support, whatever the situation.

He wasn’t the best at keeping in contact, and time would often go by without us being in touch, but whenever we met again it was as if no time had passed. He was always positive about his life, even during times of strife.

I spent countless memorable times with him and our friends Nigel and Steve. I could recall so many memories — trips in vans around the country, and long conversations brainstorming money-making ideas that never really got further than our imagination.

He is sadly missed.
