GeraldORTONGed Ged was born on Thursday, 25th September 1947 to Muriel and Gerald Sr in Salford. His brother, David, describes him as his 'hero' whom he adored. Ged was a loving and thoughtful husband to Jean for the past 49 years, and to his children, Andy, Lesley, Ian and Natalie, he was 'the best Dad in the world.' Ged passed away on Friday, 19th October 2018 after a short stay in Springhill Hospice. Funeral Service and Committal will be held at Blackley Crematorium on Thursday, 1st November (TODAY) at 1.30pm.
