AnnOLIVERMother's Day This Sunday we all celebrate Another loving family date Where Sons and Daughters everywhere Give thanks to Mum for being there A loving day where girl and boy Give something back with heart filled joy To her who acted as their eyes In younger days when not so wise Now every child throughout the land Will reach out for that loving hand And seek the smile so warm within That makes their heart begin to sing. How sad that some of us today Can only visit where they lay With floral tributes neatly placed As teardrops form upon our face So why is it, we hear us say He still decides to take away The ones who play by all the rules To leave behind misguided fools Exactly eleven years today You said goodbye on Mother's Day As Dad, our family, and myself Prayed deeply for your better health And as we sat beside you there Your suffering seemed so hard to bear With memories flooding from the past Our guiding light was fading fast In Cefn Parc, sat on your bench Today again our hearts will wrench And gazing where the flowers bloom We'll dream you never left the room. Love and Miss You so much Mum.
