Oh Mam, what are we going to do without you?
You leave me with so many happy memories. From my earliest days with you, Dad, Nana, Grandad, Sissy, Frank and Lassie in Elstow St - waiting for them all to go out to work, then sitting alone together on the couch, eating biscuits from a tin. I remember you collecting me from St John's infant school with Graham in the pram and taking us to St John's Rec. I remember all the day trips we had to Egremont, New Brighton, Southport and Blackpool etc plus the holidays away in North Wales and Brighton. I thank you for all of the support you gave me through life and for teaching me right from wrong and makng me the person I became. You showered love on Les, as soon as we'd met, then supported us to marriage and beyond. You did it all with the utmost care, devotion and love.
You have lived a full and happy life, but somehow your 91½ years seems way too short - but, I guess I'm just being selfish.
I hope Dad had a Black Russian poured and waiting for you. Enjoy it, along with many others and rest easy. We will all meet again, till then, say hello to Dad and everyone. Night Night Mammy, I send my love, Kev x
