Sheila MaryOAKLEYSheila Mary Oakley, widow of the late Dennis Oakley, passed away peacefully at home aged 88, after a short, but courageous battle against cancer, on the 17 September 2025.
Sheila will be sadly missed by her daughter Denise, son Karl, son-in-law Philip, daughter-in-law Lizzy, grandchildren Stefan and partner Janka, Lianne and husband Mike, Russell, Kevin and Rachael. Great grandchildren Izabela, Emilia and Xander, sister Joan and dear friend Paula.
A funeral service will take place on the 4 November 2025 at 10:00am at St Mary's Church, Selly Oak, then burial at Brandwood End Cemetery at 11:15am followed by the wake at The Old Rose & Crown Hotel, Rose Hill, Lickey, Rednal B45 8RT.
Flowers are welcome, but donations will be welcome, if preferred to the Birmingham Hospice and Marie Curie, whose staff looked after and treated my mom with gentleness and dignity.
Mom, you leave behind a heartbroken family, who will love you and miss you forever, but we try and take comfort that you are now out of pain and reunited with dad. God bless Mom.
