Gerard John JosephO'CONNELLSadly, on the 7th of November, Gerry of Gabalfa, Cardiff passed away age 96.

Beloved Father of Gerard, Julian and Heather. Much loved Grandfather of Finn, Jessica, Lucy, Flo and Dominic.

Gerry will be resting at James Summers Funeral Home until his Committal at Swansea Crematorium on Wednesday 3rd December at 2pm, followed by a funeral Service at St Cenydd's Church, Llangennith at 3:30pm.

Donations in memory of Gerry are gratefully received for Barnados Ireland Children's Charity.

So sad to see you have left us Gerry. I will always remember your cheeky Irish wit and charm. Thank you for so many blessed summers in Llangennith, the many days searching the rock pools, beach combing for washed up buoys and the many bass barbecue’s. It’s so comforting to think you are home with Julian. Keep shining up there like the star ⭐️ you are. Sending much love 💕 to Heather and Gerry.

So sorry for your loss. Gerry was an amazing character who will always be remembered for his cheeky Irish wit and charm. I will always cherish the summers spent with him in Llangennith and the many days searching for soft crabs in the rock pools of Burry Holmes. Keep shining up there like the star 🌟 that you are. Aww Gerry , you were so special to me and Wayne, Mum (Dana)talked about you fondly right up until she passed away too , my thoughts and prayers are with Heather and Gerald and all the family . Julian will be up there with you and that makes me happy ,my love ,respect and thanks Always Clare xx
