ShirleyNOWLANIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Nowlan (nee Rowe) on the 20th August 2025, aged 88 years. Shirley is now reunited with her Husband Harold who she has mourned since his untimely passing in 1990, she was a Treasured Mum to Chris, Beverley (deceased) Clive and Helen, much-loved Mum-in-law to Tina, Michael and Mark, and a cherished Nan to Kirby, Sophie, Callie, April and Lauren, and her great-grandchildren. She was a much-loved friend to many and will be deeply missed.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

Shirley's service is to take place at Ford Park Chapel on Monday 8th of September at 11.30, to be followed by a private family burial. At the family's request if you would care to wear bright colours or a splash of green to the service that would be much appreciated. Also if anyone would like to send flowers they can do so to the address below. Whilst Shirley did not die of cancer, in memory of her daughter Beverley donations if desired can be made to Macmillan.

My beautiful Nan,

The days are passing by but my heart is still in that room of when I had to say goodbye.
I can't believe it's been almost a year without you. It's been the hardest time of my life living without you.

You were never just "a nan" you were much more than that and I just miss you beyond words.

I'm so lucky and blessed to have had you as my nan but it's made it so unbelievably hard to lose you.

You were such an important piece of my life and it hurts soooo much not being able to call you or visit you.

I miss your voice, your laugh and your hugs.

My precious nan. I hope you are at peace and with grandad and auntie Bev. You are all thought of every single day.

Love you so so much Nan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Amazing neighbour & friend. Spent lots of time together putting the worlds to rights & having a giggle, my kids adored you as you did them, lily especially loved to make you new pictures for your fridge! We will miss you everyday! The block already feels empty without you! Back with your husband and your daughter Bev now! Lots of love! Rest peacefully! Heaven really has gained an angel! Xx
