MarianNICHOLLSof Clayton Avenue, Rawtenstall, passed away peacefully at Holme Manor on January 8, aged 90 years. Marian was a domestic science teacher at Fearns High School, later moving to Ewood Training Centre teaching life skills until retirement. Marian enjoyed golf, cooking, gardening and travel. She was a member of the Rossendale Golf Club, ex-lady captain and ex-lady president of the club. Wife of the late Fred, Marian leaves behind her sons Stephen and Andrew, daughters-in-law Angela and Julie, grandchildren Chris and Oli and great-granddaughter Ivy. She was also sister to the late Edna. Prayers will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Friday, January 19 at 12.45pm followed by service at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm, conducted by Rev Daniel Burton. Family donations to Rossendale Hospice and Parkinson’s UK.
