JohnMURPHYMr John Downes Murphy (Jock) died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 5 surrounded by his loving family in Accrington, aged 75. John, a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandad, brother and uncle, enjoyed his Sunday bets on the horses along with a good pint in his locals surrounded by his friends. He was a lifelong and committee member of the Brooks Club, Accrington. John will be truly missed by all. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 1.40pm at Accrington Crematorium led by Rev Hugh Scriven, and then back to the Brooks Club, Accrington where all are welcome to celebrate the life of John Downes Murphy - known by many as ‘Murph’.
