Where to begin…? I think if I start with those infamous words of yours John! “it is, what it is…” never a day when we spoke did you not say these words to me whatever the subject at hand. And, my weather guardian Angel - you never ceased to get it wrong! 😁 and IF it did rain while I worked away in your beautiful garden - you’d always have a great story to tell me, encouraging me to keep dry til it passed you would never fail to have a nice cold J2O ready for me or similar… on the hottest days! It was my pal Paddy who would always greet me first with the biggest welcome and bull dozing wagging tail!! You were never far behind..! Between you and Hils, I have learnt masses, always looked at you both as family & my goodness me, this is harder to write than I imagined. Thank you for being such a good teacher to me over the years! For being so kind, generous and caring. I recall the best memory shared with you and Hils, for me, was having Dan, Sammy & myself take part in such an incredibly special day - Vicky’s Wedding Day to Rob with James too. I have been lighting candles in your memory, wiped some tears away too. I will raise a glass in your name on the 21st July and will remember the strong & determined soul that you were. You deserve eternal peace, I truly hope you are free from all frustration now. No more waiting, or the not knowing ‘when…’ You did the best you could while you had the chance. You will always be remembered as one hell of a man to me! Thank you for everything, god bless, love always, Tan xxxx ♥️ 🙏🏻🕊️🕯️
