It is with great sadness that we announce that Elizabeth, fortified by the rites of the Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully at her home in Moston on June 3rd 2025 aged 85 years after spending her treasured last days with her devoted family.
The dearly loved wife of the late Thomas, now reunited and the much loved Mum of Stephen, Kathryn, Christine and the late David RIP. Also, a dear Mother-in-law to Caryn and Hayden. A very special and devoted Grandma to Jack and Sam and Rebecca, Irie and Angela (Portugal). Elizabeth was also a loved Auntie to all of her nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many over the years. She was the last remaining member of the Gorton family and is now reunited with her beloved brothers and sisters. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
On Thursday 26th June Elizabeth will be received into Our lady of Mount Carmel Blackley for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at St Joseph's Cemetery Moston.
Donations are welcome in Elizabeth's memory to Francis House Children's Hospice, which she always supported.
