PeterMITCHELLPeter Mitchell, 92, passed away on Sunday April 20 at Royal Blackburn Hospital, surrounded by members of his close and loving family.
Devoted husband to the late Jean Mitchell, Peter is survived by his three sons, his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was one of five, a brother and three sisters.
Peter was a milkman in the Bacup, Stacksteads and Waterfoot area for over 50 years until his retirement in 2004 at the age of 72. He enjoyed a pint and loved taking part in the classic English pub games. He was a gentle man with an easy disposition and a cheeky sense of humour. He will be dearly missed.
A service will be held on Thursday May 1 at Burnley Crematorium at 11.30 am.
