JosephMCMURROUGHOn Tuesday 23rd December 2025 Joseph "Jokey" McMurrough Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Reunited with both late parents Kathleen and Joe
Joseph leaves his loving children Angela, Joseph and Jayson
Brother to Eileen, Paddy, Christine, Brenda, John, Donna and Kevin
Loving Grandad to Kurtis, Kiera, Brooke, Sophie-jo and Emily and also Great Grandad,
Father in law to Mandy and Antony, A Uncle, Cousin and Nephew.
Born in Belfast and moved to Accrington Jokey was a self employed roofer for many years.
He enjoyed horse racing on the TV with a docket or two in his hand. Also enjoyed a trip to Belle-Vue Greyhound Track with all the family. Most of all Jokey was at his happiest when the whole family was together having a pint and a game of cards, or having a carvery.
He will be forever missed.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday 16th January at 12.00 at Saint Josephs RC Church Belgarth Rd, Accrington BB5 6AH. Followed by a Burial at Accrington Cemetery.
All attending asked to wear something Orange or Green
