LindsayMCLEANLindsay passed away after a very brave nine month battle with cancer on Sunday, February 15. Devoted wife to Kev - they were married for almost ten years - together for over 30 years. Lindsay was born and raised in Haslingden to Barbara and Richard - spending many happy years with the family and their chocolate Labradors amongst other beloved pets. Enjoying fishing and shooting with her dad as well as riding on the back of his Triumph - growing up with good friends, good fun and general mayhem on Hill Rise. Lindsay worked for many years and had great friends at We Buy Books and was a well-respected friend and colleague.
Lindsay was a fearless lady, with a strong sense of right and wrong and who fought for injustice even at a young age - she would always support you and be in your corner. She adored her Kevin, friends, family and of course her many dogs and cats. Lindsay will be missed terribly by us all, but her love, legacy and memories will always be with us. Lindsay leaves her husband Kevin, along with her aunty Shirley, cousins Richard and Miranda, nieces, nephews and their families and many friends here in the Valley and over in Canada and France.
A service for Lindsay will take place Monday, March 9 at 11am at Fred Hamer's Chapel of Rest, Rawtenstall followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am.
Family flowers only please, with donations in lieu to Cancer Research. Donations can be made online: www.fredhamer.co.uk obituaries.
