WinniefredMCKENNAdied on Tuesday, April 18, aged 93 years. Winnie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen McKenna, sister of the late Kathleen, Joan, Colin and Thomas. She was the great auntie to Colin, Natalie, their children Chantelle, Caitlin, Emily and Corey and very dear friend to Hazel, Eddie and Ann. Winnie suffered from arthritis, sadly lost her sight, she was a district midwife in Accrington and Oswalftwistle making lots of friends. She always supported Maundy Grange. Dorothy McGregor was always dear to her heart, also the Salvation Army. She loved Strictly Come Dancing, also radio Lancashire. She often rang and would say Winnie from Ossy. Later she enjoyed talking books from the Blind Society. The service will take place on May 9, at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm. Family flowers only please, with donations if desired to a charity of your choice. Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
