Anthony BradleyMCINTYREof Haslingden passed away peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital on February 4, aged 90.
Loving husband of the late Margaret McIntyre, a dearly loved father to Michael, Janet and David
and much-loved grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother to sisters Laura and Janet and the late Stephen.
Before retiring, Tony managed the family building business J McIntyre and Son at Ratcliffe Fold
whilst his late wife, Margaret, ran the family paint and decorators shop on Manchester Road, Haslingden.
A keen sportsman, Tony enjoyed playing cricket and supporting Burnley Football Club.
However, his lifelong passion was playing and watching rugby.
He was a founder member of the Rossendale Rugby Union Football Club and in the early years
became captain of the first team. Many memorable home and away matches were enjoyed by Tony and family. Throughout his life, he was a member of St Mary's Church, Haslingden and for many years worked on the church building and supported many parish activities.
Following retirement, Tony and Margaret continued their love of travel and enjoyed many visits to different countries abroad.
Tony's funeral will take place at St Mary's RC Church Haslingden on Friday, March 6 at 11am.
