Unexpectedly but peacefully in hospital on 20th March 2026, aged 92 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Mary, loving dad of Anne Marie, Michael and John. A much loved father-in-law, granda, great-granda, brother, uncle and friend to all.

Requiem Mass to take place at St. Agnes R.C.Church, Crawcrook on Thursday 2nd April at 12:15pm prior to interment in Ryton cemetery. All are welcome afterwards to Michelangelo's, Hedgefield.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired may be given for St. Agnes R.C.Church and sent c/o
1 Kepier Chare, Crawcrook, Ryton, NE40 4TS.

Hughie you where the sweetest , most gentle human being I’ve ever met ,it was an absolute pleasure to be in your company, loved hearing your stories about you being a young boy on the farm back in Ireland, I’ll miss coming up with Christopher ,John & paul to cut your hair too . And the lads cutting yr hedge on a sunny day in your garden ..Gone but never forgotten,rest easy dear Hughie. Love Christopher , Justine & Millie xx
