GerardMCARDLEof Woodley Avenue, Accrington, passed away on July 30, aged 88 years. He previously worked as a Psychiatric Charge Nurse at Rossendale General Hospital. Gerard enjoyed reading, listening to music, singing, crossword puzzles, walking, gardening, bird watching, TV, football (supported) Burnley and Everton. He also enjoyed watching tennis/ Wimbledon, travelling, especially to Spain with his beloved wife. Husband of Lola, father to Robert and Elizabeth, grandfather to Olivia and Sofia, father-in-law to Michael Doherty and Beatriz Longo. A service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, September 1 at 12.20pm, conducted by Angela Gill, followed by a reception at The Peel Park Pub.
