AudreyMAWIn Loving Memory of Audrey Maw It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Maw at the age of 89, on the 21st of February 2026, surrounded by her beloved family at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Audrey was the devoted wife of the late Barry Maw, loving mother to Mark and Terry, and cherished Mother-In-Law to Jayne. She was a proud and doting Nanna to five grandchildren: Vicky, Hayley, Matthew, Dan, Danny, and their partners. Audrey was also a beloved Great Nanna to 11 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor, Tegan, Freya, Abbie, Libby, Jack, Alfie, Freddie, Maisy, Mya and Logan.
One of seven sisters, Audrey is predeceased by her sisters Doreen and Eva, and leaves behind Valerie, Sheila, Brenda and Christine. She was also a treasured auntie to many nieces and nephews, all whom held a special place in her heart.
Audrey will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her love, warmth and kindness leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family.
A service to celebrate Audrey's life will be held at Woodlands Crematorium at 12:00 Noon on Friday the 20th of March 2026. Family flowers only please, donations would be gratefully accepted for Dementia UK or Alzheimer's Society c/o Ashby Funeral Care, 174 Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe, DN16 2JR.
