BarryMARTINBarry Martin (84) died at Pembury Hospital on Tuesday 17th July 2018. He was a retired schoolmaster who had worked in London but the latter part of his career was spent teaching at Beacon School, Crowborough and as a supply teacher in East Sussex and Kent. He inspired hundreds of local children with the quality of his teaching, anecdotes and good humour. A keen cricket umpire, he was frequently seen sporting his white coat at Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club and throughout West Kent and East Sussex and had a long association with Frant Cricket Club. His positive demeanour and cheery outlook on life touched all who met him. Loved by all, he is greatly missed by his wife Evelyn, two sons Gerard and Richard and three grand children Siobhan, Rory and Kieran. The service of commitment is at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium, Friday 17th August 2018 at 11.30 a.m. All are welcome with a small reception to follow.
