John SpeareMANNINGPassed away at home in Thongsbridge, after a bravely borne few years of health challenges, on 25th March 2026, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Pauline, much loved father of Stella, Stevan, Sandra and Angela, and a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and recent great, great grandfather. A respected local businessman for many years and a valued member of Holmfirth Chambers of Commerce.
The funeral service will take place on Friday 17th April at 12 noon at Holmfirth Methodist Church, followed by a committal at Rose Hill Burial Ground.

Remembering our special Grandpa at this sad time. From raspberry picking, building dens, visiting the elephant tree, watching cricket and football, and supporting us through our various passions - our Grumps had a big heart and an even bigger sense of humour. Rest in peace knowing we'll all continue to be good for you - if not good, very, very good.
