MichaelMANNINGJohn Remembering my dear brother Mike on his birthday, 29th April. He passed away in October 2016, aged 83, after a full and happy life, latterly blighted by Alzheimers. From Braunton Primary to Grammar School, and Bristol University, a career in the aircraft industry saw him and wife Anne move to Lancs, where he later became a senior lecturer in engineering at Preston. Two clever sons, Steven (Singapore) and David (Auckland) were inspired by their loving dad. Mike and Anne celebrated their Diamond Wedding in 2015. The couple enjoyed sailing (mostly in Europe) and visits to their sons' families, after early retirement in the mid-80s. Our parents were Ivy and Maurice (ex Hylands, Ash Rd., 5, Caen Street, and 7 Locks Close.) Angie Lake.
