RIP Grandad. I’ll forever cherish the special memories made with you as a child: those walks from Marske beach to Saltburn, walks along the sand dunes that were always exciting and an adventure as a child, the dog walks and day trips to Whitby with Nanna. Nights at yours were a special part of my childhood and I feel very lucky.
I’ll cherish the memory of the last time Penelope visited you at yours, too. Her acting like a little carer. She was desperate to do jobs for you and to help her Grandma. She made a bossy carer.
Life can be cruel but you are out of pain and at peace now. I hope you have had a well deserved pint with Judd and lots of catch ups with everyone who travelled there before you.
