JaneMABBUTTOur kind and wonderful Jane passed away on 20th September 2022, aged 62, after a short illness. Jane, whose late parents were James (Tony) and Anne Clegg, leaves behind her loving husband, Anthony, much-loved sons John and Peter, and daughter-in-law Angela. Jane doted on her grandchildren Olivia, Lucy, Thomas, and Alfie, and will be missed greatly by her siblings Anthony, Anne, and Janet, her nieces and nephews, her step-children Rachael, Christopher, and Ruth, step-grandchildren Daphne, Joe and Danny, as well as her many friends. To know Jane was to love her; her kind and fun company, the acceptance and welcome she extended to everyone, and the genuine interest she showed in other people was a delight to experience and she will be missed by us all. Jane spent her early career studying ballet professionally spending three years in London dancing at the Bush Davies Theatre School. She then moved into teaching after earning two degrees in Business and ICT. Jane taught at Accrington and Rossendale college for 17 years, nurturing thousands of students, moving on to 1-1 mentoring and coaching for learners who benefitted from her patient and friendly teaching style. Jane's greatest love was her family, and she spent her time in their company, playing with her grandchildren, sneaking them biscuits and getting involved in their games. Jane's patience, love and generosity made her special and everyone who knew her was better for it. Jane's funeral will be on Tuesday 4th October 2022 at 1:40pm at Accrington Crematorium followed by a burial at Dill Hall Lane Cemetery. Although Jane loved flowers, her family welcome donations to Cancer Research in Jane's name in place of any funeral flowers. Enquiries can be made through Hyndburn Funeral Services.
