Mr Ludlam, who was 43 and from Darley Dale, Derbyshire, was a well-respected driver and popular man and his death was greeted with shock and sadness throughout the community.

“That showed after his death. There was a tribute by taxi drivers and hundreds of people came to his funeral – people came out to show their respect for him. Young people, old people, everyone.
“We knew, then, how well-loved he was.”
Mr Ludlam was working for MJ Taxis at the time of his death.
Tracey Shelton, who runs the firm with husband Mick, had employed Mr Ludlam for almost 15 years.
