Peter BourneLONDONBeloved father of four children and grandfather of four grandchildren, Peter Bourne London died peacefully at home on 19th January 2023. A retired sculptor and printmaker, Peter sculpted the bust of the Victorian Prime Minister, William Gladstone, which was erected in Penmaenmawr town centre in 1991. Born in London in 1935, Peter grew up in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He moved with his wife Joy to live in North Wales in 1988. Many happy years were spent in Penmaenmawr with Joy and his four children, James, Timothy, Lucianna and Lydia. Peter loved to study his Bible, have philosophical conversations and take scenic walks in Wales and the South of France. He was passionate about art. Peter spoke fondly of his training program set up for the Worldwide Church of God printing press. He made many lasting friendships through this church. His memory will be cherished by all that knew him. Donations to St David's Hospice are welcome and will be gratefully received. The funeral service will take place at 12pm on Monday, 6th February 2023 at Noddfa Chapel, Conwy Old Road, Penmaenmawr.

Not only was Peter a deeply philsophical and knowlegeable, highly talented person but he was great fun to be with. I first met him in the early 70's. Five of us shared a property in Watford, Herts and worked at the press with him. After hours of chat in a tiny kitchen we "occassionally" had a pint in the Caledonia pub or The Royal Standard in Beaconscot when "Judy" the car was up to it or the bubble car kept its steering wheel in place. Fond memories of an adorable and extremely rare human being. Sincere condolences to Joy and all the family.
