ShirleyLEYLANDAfter a life well lived, passed away peacefully on 23rd February 2025. Loved by sons Andrew & Russell, daughters-in-law Monica & Jo and her 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Shirley will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral service to be held at Croydon Crematorium on Tuesday 1st April 2025 at 11.15am. Everyone is welcome at The Tudor Rose in Old Coulsdon following the service.

As a former player for Grovewood Albion I wanted to pay my respects to Shirley, did a brilliant job Managing the Team in what were very different times, massive respect for that, what a legend she was and is to us, and never forgotten by the boys and mentioned whenever we reminisce about the good old days of Sunday League football.......Wedge x

My name is Adam Stevens i just picked this up, i was a football player and Captain of Grovewood Albion fc. i just wanted to say what a fantastic lady Shirley was, Shirley did so much for the team and was always there for us all, especially as this was in the years when women in football were not respected or recognised.
i never forget her when i think of my playing days she was a wonderful person.
