Gordon MaisonLEWISThe family of the late County Borough Councillor, Gordon Maison Lewis, would like to thank all who attended his funeral service at Capel Y Parc, Cwmparc and later at Treorchy Cemetery. Barrie, Marilyn, Graham and Alwyn would like to thank sincerely relatives, colleagues, friends and neighbours for their messages of sympathy, cards, floral tributes and donations to The Mayor's Charity appeal, which amounted to £400. The family would like to thank Reverend Cyril Llewellyn, Reverend David Thomas and Reverend Marian Ashton for their comforting service and also Chris Bryant MP and Clive Thomas, retired FIFA referee for kindly speaking at the service. Grateful thanks to the Staff and Doctors of Ward 1, HDU and ICU at The Royal Glamorgan Hospital, for their care and attention, and his good neighbours Pat and Kath. Many joined the family at Treorchy Rugby Club for refreshments afterwards, thank you, it was good to hear your stories. Representatives for the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, Treorchy, Ynyswen and Cwmparc Ward Labour Party, GMB Union, Parc Primary School and Treorchy Rugby Club, joined family and friends. Sincere thank to Dewi Reynolds and Sons for carrying out the funeral with such dignity and respect. Gordon will be sadly missed by all his family, friends and neighbours in Cwmparc.
