JuneLAYCOCKJune Laycock, nee Heys, passed away on Tuesday, April 26 peacefully, with her family by her side, in Blackburn Royal Hospital, aged 86. The beloved wife of the late Jim, much loved Mum to Janet and Carol, dear Mother-in-law to Paul and Andrew, loving Grandma to Bethany, Emily, Megan and Joseph, Sister, Sister-in-law, and Auntie. A weaver by trade, June also spent her working life at Ewbank and Dewric, and in the family sweet shop on Avenue Parade. As a young lady she loved dancing up ‘Accy Con’, where she met her beloved Jim. In later years, June and Jim enjoyed holidays abroad, and spending time with friends and family. The family would like to thank Gemma and all the staff at Church View Nursing Home, Oswaldtwistle, for their care, and also the staff at Royal Blackburn for their support. The funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium at 11am on Tuesday, May 10, led by Father Wadsworth. Immediate family flowers only please, with donations gratefully received to Parkinson’s UK c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
