Arthur JohnLAMPORTLifelong resident of Ash, Tongham and Aldershot, sadly passed away on Tuesday the 3rd March 2020 at the age of 73. Known to all as John, he leaves behind his beloved wife Sandra and three sons, Philip, Matthew and Vinny. John was born in Ash on the 30th of March 1946 to Sybil and Arthur Lamport of Ash Street. He grew up alongside his siblings Julie, Gerry and Roger (Bill) whom he loved dearly. He attended Yeomans Bridge School and went on to follow in his fathers footsteps as a bricklayer. A keen sportsman, John was a well loved figure in local football and table tennis. His passion for sport, music and life in general was only superseded by the love he had for his family. John leaves behind eight grandchildren who love him more than words can say. John will be laid to rest at St Peters Church in Ash on Friday 13th of March at 9.00am.

Dad, you are loved and missed every day. I would love for you to see Alex and Jack. You would be so proud. Look after mum for me and tell her we all love her. I love you dad.

I love you dad! Never day goes by that you aren’t remembered and missed. I’m glad you and mum are together but I still wish you were both here.
Never gone from our hearts, heads or conversations.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of a dear friend John Lamport. John was one of the nicest, honest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. My thoughts are with his lovely wife Sandy, his children and his grandchildren. Rest in peace John.
