Dr IgorKUBELKAWith sorrow, but in Christian hope we announce the loss of Dr Igor Kubelka who passed unexpectedly in Al Ain, UAE on 25th March 2026.
He is the devoted husband of Dr Vedrana Caric-Kubelka, beloved brother of Sanja, loving son, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews of Vedrana's, cherished and most dedicated Consultant Microbiologist in James Cook University Hospital where he saved many lives.
Igor left a lasting memory on everyone he met and will be deeply missed by Vedrana, their families and his large number of friends.
Requiem Mass to take place on Thursday 9th April at 1pm in St Mary's Cathedral, Coulby Newham prior to interment within Acklam Cemetery. Friends please meet at St Mary's Cathedral and afterwards at Acklam Hall.
