My Dad worked with Betty at the Metropole Hotel. I remember him telling me that at Christmas or whenever they had big events on (and needed the guests to start enjoying themselves) he and Betty used to start dancing together in the middle of the restaurant in the hope that it would get people up from their tables and start dancing. It worked!

That was a deeply moving service today full of family love and friendship.

Although I didn’t know you for long Bet, your smile touched my life and I enjoyed swimming with you at Chiggly point.
Your thirst for life was encouraging. We will always remember you.
