JohnKERRIGAN"The Best Person Ever"

Devoted and eternally loved husband of the late Sylvia; dearly loved father of Amanda, Jane, Julie, Andrew and Angela; cherished father-in-law of James, Wayne, Nigel, Jane and Richard.

A proud grandad to Daniel, Ashley, Lewis, James, Jonathan, Rebecca, William, Lucy, Andrew, Rosy, Eve, Ella and Dexter, and a loving great-grandad to Charlie, Seth, Gracie, Frank, Oden, Ronnie and Sylvie-Mae.

John was also a loving and caring friend to so many people whose lives he touched with his kindness, warmth and generosity.

John passed away peacefully at home on 12th June 2026, aged 85 years.

A lifelong supporter of Coventry City Football Club, he was affectionately known to many as "Sky Blue John."

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We will cherish our wonderful memories of him and remain eternally grateful for the love, kindness and happiness he brought into our lives.

John's funeral service will take place on Wednesday 8th July 2026 at 12:00 noon at St Mary's Church, Hall Lane, Walsgrave, Coventry, CV2 2AW, followed by burial at Lenton's Lane Cemetery.

John and sylve was our neighbours at pandora rd for blimey i bet 40 years or so a long time anyway . We lived at 24 and can i say they was the best neighbours and friends anyone could wish for !. Our door was always open for them and sylve was my mums best friend. When sylve passed away we was absolutely gutted ! And now John even so more !. The kerrigan family was not just a family they are our family too and we the fordhams love them all so much.i will never forget John as when he was ill he managed to get up and walk a few steps to 24 pandora to see me and console in me as my dad just passed away he hugged me and was crying his eyes out , and I tell you what I cant cry i really want to ball my eyes out but that day John I had so many tears in my eyes . What a lovely caring fantastic man !. God bless you John and our sylve you are all up there now with my mum dad and sister too , I am happy you got to at least cov city get promoted John God bless you my friend Danny fordham and family xx
