Highly decorated Arctic Convoy and D Day Landings Veteran of WWII, awarded both the Ordre National de la Legion d'Honneur (Chevalier) from France and the Ushakov medal from Russia. Aged 92 passed peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved husband of Joan, beloved father of Linda & Graham, Kevin & Chris, Sue & Mike, much loved Grandad of Helen, John, Craig, Vicky, Keith, Rochelle, Kim, Dave, and Kirsty, loved great-grandad to Becks, Caitlin, Joshua, Abi, Bethany, Grace, Molly, Chelsea, Luke and Ellie and great great-grandad to Noah. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, 18th December 2018 at 2:15 at Christ Church, Moreton, Upton Road, Wirral CH46 0PA followed by interment at 3.00pm at Frankby Cemetery, Frankby, Wirral CH48 1QJ. The family would request family flowers only, however donations may be made to The Veterans Association UK in his memory.
