AlanKAYMr Alan Kay, of Hawthorn Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, died on Wednesday, March 3, aged 88. Alan did his National Service and then trained as a textile technician, a job he held for all his working life up until his retirement. He enjoyed walking his dogs and liked watching all sports on TV. Along with his wife Eileen and their family, he enjoyed many years of caravanning holidays in Silverdale. Alan was the devoted and loving husband of Eileen and much loved father of Susan and Steven. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral service took place on Monday, March 15, at Accrington Crematorium, led by Rev Martin Joss. Donations if desired to the RNLI c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
