Bryan RussellKARNformerly of Elstead and Witley, died peacefully in Jubilee Nursing Home, Godalming on 19th November 2024, aged 91 years.

Much loved father of Ginette, Bridgette, Margarette and Suzette and a loving grandfather.

Funeral service at Guildford Crematorium on Monday 16th December at 2.15pm.

Family flowers only, please.

I believe Mr Karn used to deliver groceries to the Polish army camp in Tweedsmuir, Thursley, until the camp closed in the mid-1950s. Several Polish families moved to Elstead from the camp. I remember approximately 60 years ago when Mr Karn would drive his blue van to Hazelwood, Elstead, with groceries. Everyone liked him; he was always very kind and patient, a true gentleman. He later had a grocery shop in Elstead that was also very popular.
