GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES
610 days without you by my side. The mountain I carried you up and cared for you, bears down on me every day, I would do it all again to stand by your side for one more day. My life stopped the day I lost you my dear brother. Every memory, every moment I cared for you still burn in my hands. Your life in pictures brightens up my days; I still hear your laughter in the midnight air. They say you are at peace, they say you are free, but they don’t understand; I gave you my soul as you gave your soul to me.

I’m near if you don’t
On standby, waiting,
anticipating.

Keep myself from spilling over,

Happy St; Peter's Day

“Stick’it in d’a gul’adins” my brother would say, he’s Down Syndrome you know, he smiles everyday!

He gave me such precious hugs, it made the pain fall away!

The summers warm and long the winters short and full of fun. He brought me joy, laughter and sometimes tires; “Stick’it in d’a gul’adins” my brother would say!

My Peter would make up such wonderful words to bring a slime to my face, to be part of his world.

Every moment of every day my brother was near me, safe and sound by my side. We will “stick together like glue for the whole of eternity”.

500 days alone, the house is quiet like a memory, every room speaks your name, your footsteps in the hallway but nothing feels the same, you’re ‘book books’ are on the table, photos slowly fade away, I walk through memories dark and deep were broken brother’s fall and weep, every step along the way until God opens up his door, to see your wonderful smile, to be with you forevermore then I won’t hurt anymore.

I remember the prayers by your bedside, the hurt inside like never before, I held the hand of an angel, and every tear I tried to hide; Jesus wrote your name in stone, you’re going home, heaven was your home all along, this goodbye is not the end, it’s were forever begins!

I leave a light on by the window to show my love for you is here, you whisper in the wind ‘you’re not alone’ that’s my brother my friend!

God bless you Peter and keep you safe no matter how far you are your never alone. May you stand among angels with Mum and Yvonne. I love you Peter and I give you my love forever and ever more.
