It was a privilege to meet and chat with you George.
Your stories about the good old days always made me laugh and smile.
You never gave up without a fight.

My condolences to Isabel,Gwen,George, John and families on the sad passing of George.
Your Dad was very good to my Mum and Auntie Amy doing gardening and jobs around the house,he was very kind and caring which I am so very grateful to him for.He was also the heart of the family,keeping in touch with us all.

Grandad was a huge part of Emma’s and my life growing up, and I feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many special moments with him over the years.

One of the greatest gifts Grandad gave me was our shared love for Liverpool Football Club. From the age of five, we went to almost every home game together for 25 years. When I look back now those matchdays are some of the happiest memories of my life. It was never just about the football, it was about the time we spent together, the conversations we had and the bond we shared. Those memories will stay with me forever.

In more recent years, it meant so much to me that Grandad got to know my children, George and Meg. Seeing them spend time together and build their own memories with him was incredibly special. I’m also grateful that Jade had the chance to get to know him so well and grow close to him, particularly while she was working at Holywell Hospital during the time Grandad was there.

There are countless memories of Grandad that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I will miss him more than words can ever express. I take comfort in how fortunate I was to have him as my Grandad and to have had so many wonderful years with him.
